Bar/Line Chart View

The Bar/Line chart shown in the panel above represents the volume of items sold in the selected week. The chart is presented as three sets of data plotted against each day of the chosen week. For example, the Saturday sales figures above (for the 'Standard' product type) show 58 items sold with a total sales value of 182 pounds. This provides a combined Sales Value (with Gift Aid applied) of £228.

The Analysis Page 'Data Viewers' provide Tools which may be used to filter the data. These include a Date Picker Calendar (not shown), Product Type Selector and Chart Type (Bar/Line or Pie) Selector.

Tapping/Clicking on the Bar above for any particular day will reveal a 'DAY VIEW' summary table within the left hand panel. On the live chart (when a user is logged in) this breakdown data is shown in a top right hand panel.

  • Key to the Combined Chart
  • Number Sold A bar chart representing the total number of product items sold by the Store or Organisation1 during the chosen week.
  • Sale Value A line plot representing the sum total value of the sold items during the chosen week.
  • Gift Aid A line plot representing the sum total value of revenue raised (including the gift aid raised) in selling the items, during the chosen week.

1 When logged in on behalf of an Organisation the user can apply filters to the available data. By selecting combinations of Region, Town and Store, custom data sets can be created for display within the Chart.

Pie Chart View

The Pie Chart Product Breakdown data display presents 'Store' or 'Organisation' sales data as a series of Categories.

Each Category is rendered as a slice of a pie/donut chart. Visual representation of data enables speedy interpretation and analysis of the chart elements to be carried out.

Export of chart Images and Data can be carried out (for both Pie and Bar/Line charts) by selecting the download symbol menu in the top right hand portion of the Chart.

Chart annotations can be added also by using the right hand download symbol menu. When the Chart Image is exported any annotations/markup are preserved in the chart image.

  • Key to the Pie Charts

  • Gift Aid By Type: A pie chart representing the Gift Aid revenue generated by Product Type for the store, during the chosen week.

Instructions for First Login

Following successful Login to the application three groups of Tools become active for use:

  • Analysis
  • Settings
  • Favourites

These tools are for 'Analysis' of Sales data, for the modification of 'Settings' within the Application and for storage of 'Favourites' (donated items of interest or of high value).

This help page describes a typical scenario for using the Application 'Analysis' tools for the first time. Further information on the 'Analysis' tools is provided in the help page link shown above.

After successful Login please select the 'Analysis' Tab tools menu item. The page loaded will automatically create a chart for the current weeks data.

Within the 'Analysis' Page, five Tools are provided for the filtering of the available data. This data is supplied to the Application via a web based Application Programming Interface linked to a remote central database. A brief overview of the available Analysis Page tools is provided on the ANALYSIS help page.

Store Login

On successful login as an authorised 'Store' user, the previous weeks Sales figures for a single Store will become available for display. In this case the User will be logged in with permissions to view data for a single Store only. The Current user level is displayed on hover over/tap on the Welcome message (screen top right).

Organisation Login

On successful login as an authorised 'Organisation' user, the previous weeks Sales figures for all Stores which have been registered for an Organisation will become available for display. In this case the User will be logged in with permissions to view all registered stores and data for the target Charity Organisation. At 'Org' level, filtering tools (drop down list controls) are provided which allow selection of multiple Stores within a user selected set of Counties and Towns. When a change is made to any drop down list, the submit button on the page is re-rendered in 'Orange/Amber' in order to indicate that the page filters have been modified (and that the App is ready for the recent changes to be submitted). On 'Submit' the chart will then be updated accordingly.
